KENALOG INJECTIONS IN MIDTOWN NY

Kenalog is a commonly used steroid injection to treat hair loss, cystic acne, and keloid scars. Once the corticosteroid is injected into the scalp it works by decreasing inflammation surrounding the hair follicle. This allows for better blood flow in the area, and vitamin and nutrient absorption.

Typically used to treat Alopecia Areata, 3-6 sessions are required. These sessions are spaced 4-6 weeks apart. After the hair loss has stabilized, new hair growth is typically evident 6 weeks after treatment but can vary from client to client.

Kenalog injections work great on their own but combination therapy might be recommended based on the severity of hair loss. Kenalog injections pair well with our Platelet Rich Plasma treatment.

Clients often describe a slight pinching sensation lasting for a few seconds in the site of the injection.

Results can be seen in as soon as 4-6 weeks post treatment. It is often suggested to do a combination therapy such as PRP in tandem with Steroid Injections. This helps to speed up results and deliver stronger results.

Post treatment we suggest you avoid touching the injection site. We also suggest you avoid applying any creams or getting the area wet for 4-6 hours to allow the injections site to heal.
